"Peanuts" creator Charles Schulz For almost 50 years, Schultz was responsible for what is probably the most popular comic strip in the world. He recently decided to retire. Earlier this week, Schulz penned his last daily Peanuts strip. (Rebroadcast. Original date 12/18/90).
